Permanent resident status based on the USCIS EB-5 eligibility is available to aliens who have invested a required amount of capital and, through that investment, created full-time employment for 10 or more people. In the same way that a stone thrown into a pond creates ripples which spread in all directions, new capital invested in a regional center eventually touches all economic activity in that area. To capture the impact of investment on job growth, SELARC uses job multipliers which are derived from economic forecasting models. These models are specific to SELARC's unique area and have been approved, by the USCIS, for that area.
